What to expect:
This is your time to rest and come back to your heart. In the days after Valentine's, Resonance of the Heart is an invitation to celebrate love in all its forms, beginning with the love you show yourself.

As you settle onto a soft mattress beneath the magnificent ceiling of the Great Hall, Catarina's angelic voice, sharing ancient songs, and the soothing sounds of Tibetan and crystal bowls will guide you into deep relaxation. You'll feel your breath slow, your body soften and the pace of the city fall away.

Held by the warm vibrations of Maryna Vosmirova's guitar, with music by Erik Satie and Bach alongside music inspired by Under Milk Wood, you won't just hear the music, you'll feel it.

You'll leave uplifted, lighter and more open, and may feel your heart resonating with the frequencies of love long after you step back into your day.

We can't wait to welcome you to this very special Lie Down and Listen.

Location and getting there:
Address: Barts North Wing, St Bartholomew's Hospital, West Smithfield, London EC1A 7BE

Designed by James Gibbs in 1732, the Great Hall sits at the top of the Hogarth Stair, where William Hogarth's paintings The Pool of Bethesda and The Good Samaritan have hung since the 1730s. Restored and opened to the public in 2025, it's one of the most beautiful rooms in London's oldest working hospital, and you'll be lying down in a place that has been devoted to healing for centuries.

Entrance: Enter through the Henry VIII Gatehouse on West Smithfield and walk through the archway under the North Wing into The Square. The North Wing entrance is on your left.

Nearest stations: Farringdon, Barbican and St Paul's are all a short walk away. City Thameslink is also nearby, and buses 4, 8, 25, 46, 56, 59, 76, 100 and 133 stop close to the hospital.

Parking: Nearest car parks are the Rotunda multi storey on West Smithfield and NCP Aldersgate. Blue Badge bays are outside the Henry VIII Gatehouse and on Hosier Lane and Giltspur Street.

Access: There is step free access to all public spaces through the main entrance, with accessible toilets on site.

Arriving: Doors close promptly once the session begins, so please arrive in good time to settle in and get comfortable.
