Lie Down and Listen, Baroque Bliss, Oxford Bodleian, Oxford
You’re welcomed to delve into the world of the mystical and the melancholic in the exquisite surroundings of the 17th Century Bodleian Library.
Lie Down and Listen returns to Oxford Bodleian for the third time after previous sold out sessions, with music performed by leading theorbo and lute player Toby Carr, who observes, that "when you play a quiet instrument, you realise how loud the work really is”.
In the peaceful surroundings of the historic Bodleian Library, you won’t miss a note or a vibration. In this session founder Christina will guide you through a full body deep relaxation, followed by a deep Tibetan bowl sound healing. You’ll find the mind quietening and the heart opening. After the Tibetan bowl sound healing, you’ll be carried by the blissful and melancholic baroque melodies on the lyre and deep resonances on the theorbo on which you’ll experience mystical music of Erik Satie.
